Our community of Daily Office people will meet again this Thursday, March 6, 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in the Parlor Room. Inasmuch as we concluded our discussion last Thursday with considerable talk about a common Psalter for us, Leslie Ferris sends the following list of Psalters for our consideration:
1. A New Metrical Psalter by Christopher Webber (Lectionary Psalms)
2. Hymntune Psalter by Daw & Hackett Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 (Lectionary Psalms)
3. Anglican Chant Psalter Alec Wyton - (all 150 Psalms)
4. Plainsong Psalter - James Litton - (all 150 Psalms)
If you have a Psalter you'd like for us to look over, please bring it to our "show and tell." By way of support for our discussion, we'll use Chapter 6, "Psaltersand Sourcebooks," in Cynthia Bourgeault's Chanting the Psalms, as our text for study. We'll begin Evening Prayer at 8:00 p.m. After our March 6 meeting, we have one more Lenten gathering on March 13.
