Dick Staub's Culture Watch

A few months ago I read Dick Staub's The Culturally Savvy Christian: A Manifesto for Deepening Faith and Enriching Popular Culture in a Age of Christianity-Lite. As Martin Marty says, "Dick Staub is an imaginative and realiable guide through the maze of popular culture. He has a rather worked-out world view, which helps him make judgments, but listen patiently to other voices. Then he interprets, especially in ways that young people--a generation often overlooked by leaders in communities of faith--to find meaning, direction, and vocation." Well, I'm not so young, and yet I found The Culturally Savvy Christian to be bracingly fresh--as is his daily commentary available at Culture Watch. You'll find it interesting, provocative, informative. I've added to our list of place to visit.
